First you get a lot of apples. You need to wash and peel them.
Then you need to slice them up and put them in a pan. Add just enough water to cover the apples.
Bring them to a boil, and then simmer until fork tender.
After that remove apples from the heat, and then mash them with like a potato masher.
Add 1 stick of butter while still warm.
Lastly, sprinkle with your apple pie spice to taste.
